Ivor Abrahamsen, a lawyer in a dark pinstripe suit against a white studio backdrop

Partner

I take the cases that unfold over years and make sure families aren’t alone in them.

Birth-injury and care-home matters often outlast the first answer. I work with families through the long middle: planning for care needs, keeping records straight and explaining each step before it happens. I prepare every case as if it were going to a jury, because that is how it earns a fair settlement.

On long cases

A case that lasts years needs a steady person on the other end of the phone. You’ll hear from me before anything is filed, before any offer is discussed, and on a schedule we agree on together.

When a child is involved I start with the child’s needs today, then work backward through the records.

Tell us what happened. We’ll tell you if we can look.

We review your case at no charge. If we take it, our fee is a share of any recovery and nothing if there is none. Case costs, such as records and expert reviews, are explained in writing before you sign, and the agreement says whether you owe them if there is no recovery.
